Chapter 14 by ThomasMoro ThomasMoro

What's next for Faith-as-Buffy?

Faith decides to make a change in Buffy's permanent record

That night Faith silently exulted over her apparent triumph over B but deep down she knew her victory was only temporary. Sooner or later Giles was bound to discover that Willow had lied to him and he would then seek other experts in the field of magic. Or else B would keep pushing him to get a second opinion on the whole spell cure thing. Granted, in both cases, Giles would have to keep things on the down low to keep the Watcher Council from finding out. But his work as a Watcher undoubtedly made him used to doing that anyway. After all, it's not like he spent all those years as a high school librarian advertising the fact that he wasn't really a high school librarian.

And even if Giles did not do a thing, who's to say the Watcher Council would not make a surprise inspection, anyway, and uncover the truth. Her first watcher had told her that they liked to do that and given the damage a rogue Slayer like Faith could do to their reputation, it would be stupid of Faith to assume that such a thing would not happen sooner or later. Sure, she had given Giles and the others plenty of incentive to cover for her but she could not necessarily count on that.

Besides, as long as she had B's body in her possession, she wanted to do a whole lot more with it than simply leave her friends and kinfolk with a lot of embarrassing memories. Sure, Willow was on her side for now. But for how long? If there was one thing she learned from Gwendolyn Post, it was that you can't really trust people. Sooner or later the nicest person will betray you and there was no guarantee that Willow would not later change her mind about helping Faith if she felt pressured by B or Tara.

So what she needed to do is to ensure that B would remember the things that Faith did with her body even when B was old and gray. Faith thought about simply sneaking off to a foreign country and staying away from civilization until -- say -- B's 50th birthday -- and then coming back and switching bodies with B. But no, a scheme like that would take too long.

She wanted to take **** against B now by doing something that could not easily be reversed by merely putting on clothes. Something like --

Then she found her answer. It was posted on the campus bulletin board and she just knew it would provide the right solution to her problem. Or at least the right solution for now. But she had to hurry over to the address listed on the ad before someone else answered that ad. Which made it a good thing she was so good at running.

What is Faith-in-Buffy's solution?
