Better not.

You do as you are told and take a seat on the couch and start reading. Time passes and you all sit quietly, as you do you can’t help but begin to relax. Without even thinking you are sitting a bit to the side, legs crossed, like a proper lady. Eventually a very petite girl, 3’ tall, maybe slightly more, walks in the room. She is wearing a leather armor tunic, skirt, thigh high armored boots, and long gloves with arm guards. She has pointed ears that say elf, then it dawns on you. She is a halfling, or hobbit, or maybe a gnome, you can’t say exactly but a glance says little kid but looking for even a second longer and it is clear she is a seasoned adult. She wears a bandolier of 7 daggers across her chest and a kid sized bolt action rifle is slung on her back. “Dinner’s ready.” She says then holds the door to the dining room.

“Thank you Alicia,” The Medusa says smiling and is the first to stand.

The Minotaur shambles to his feet and follows without a word. You are last and the little woman gives you a wink as you pass by. The table is set expertly and it seems there are two more guests already seated at the table. A thin athletic woman with obsidian skin, long platinum hair pulled into a neat braided ponytail, elven ears and deep violet eyes. She wears a blue tunic over a chain shirt with such small links it almost seems like it is silk rather than silver metal. The other is another monster, though you can’t say what he is. He is dressed normal, white running shoes, white socks, blue jeans with a black belt, and a plain black t shirt. Underneath all of this is a man covered in scales wherever you can see and his head is that of a huge cobra. Slightly different you decide after a bit of looking, trying not to stare, but a cobra for the most part.

They all take their seats around the table. The head chair everyone seems to be ignoring on purpose. On the left sit the cobra, an empty seat, then the Minotaur. On the right the halfling, the dark elf, an empty seat, then last the Medusa. The only question now, you suppose, is where to sit.
