You agree to pick each other’s names

“Can you give us a minute.” Your companion asks her and tugs you away by the hand. “Don’t you dare cheat and pick a male only name.” She says wagging her finger at you.

“I want going to.” You fire back, “So why don’t you have a name?” You ask her.

She smiles, “Well you only gave me life what two days ago, besides I was assuming you had chosen a name for me.”

“Why would I name you? Wait how did I give you life?”

“Oh really, you didn’t know. Oh, I think I might love you then.” She says beaming. “I was a golem in the outer planes there is a creature called an inevitable, it is a construct given life. When you said I was alive the universe saw me as a broken inevitable and gave me a soul, as creatures of order the universe or perhaps one of the gods don’t like the disorder of a golem that is alive but not alive. So in effect you gave me life.” She stares at you for a few moments then says, “I know, we should pick each other’s names. It’s the only fair way.”

“That’s not a terrible idea I suppose. Wait what would you pick for me?”

She smiles, “I was thinking Lee. Spelled L E I G H.”

“Won’t people pronounce that lee-ah when they see it? You ask.

“No silly it is a nice name, besides no one ever writes anything down anyway. Now pick mine.”

“I don’t know. You look her over, I suppose when I think about I think I would have thought you would have a cool name like Alex, like short for Alexandria.”

“Oh that is perfect I love it. Let’s go tell her Leigh.” She says smiling and takes you by the arm. When you get back in front of the door she looks at the beautiful woman and opens her mouth to talk.

“Wonderful, it is a pleasure to meet you Alex and Leigh. You are certainly a cute couple. Normally I would frown on an inevitable here, but seeing the glow between the two of you I suppose you must be a more fun loving example of your species than I have met before.” She gives each of you a warm welcoming hug, then says, “Come on in. I’ll make us breakfast and you can tell me what you are doing here.” She motions for the two of you to enter.
