Is there something behind Buffy?

No, there isn't

Buffy looked over her shoulder to see if anything was there, only to see nothing. At that moment, Faith raised her stake up and brought it down upon Buffy's bare chest. At least Faith tried to do that. And if Buffy was a normal person, she would have succeeded.

But months and months and months of training with Giles had paid off. Buffy no longer had to think too much about how to move in a fight; her body moved automatically. Which was a good thing for Buffy because if she had had to think about her next move, she would have been dead in an instant.

As it was, her body automatically moved to avoid Faith's stake. Indeed, Buffy actually leaped out of the way, only to leap again in another direction when Faith tried to stab her a second time.

"Hold still," said Faith, feeling like a character in an old Looney Tunes cartoon.

"No, you hold still," said Buffy. But for some reason, Faith did not seem to understand her.

"Why are you trying to kill me, Faith?" asked Buffy as she leaped out of the way of yet another attack by Faith.

But Faith did not answer.

Instead Faith finally stopped and threw down her stake.

"Fuck it," she said.

She turned to Willow, who was still on the stairs. "Where does Buffy keep her crossbow?" Faith asked.

"Upstairs. In her bedroom. In a locked trunk," said Willow.

Willow had a strange look on her face. A look that did not change when Faith passed her on the way up the stairs.

"What's up with Faith?" asked Buffy, glad to finally have a chance to stand still for a moment.

Willow did not answer.

Just then Buffy glanced at her living room and more importantly, at the wall mirror in her living room, and saw her own reflection in the polished glass.

So that's why Faith tried to kill me, she thought. I've turned into a giant rabbit. Plus I'm wearing no clothes. No, I think for Faith, the giant rabbit part is enough. At least, she won't be able to find my crossbow any time soon.

"Found it!" exclaimed Faith. "I'm coming back down."
