3 Hoodlums

After searching for several minutes, Elena found the spot she was looking for. She cursed herself for leaving it in the first place. She knew that she it would be a fatal mistake for an adventurer. She picked up her waterskin and just as she was about to turn around, three shadowy figures emerged, their faces obscured by shadows produced by moonlight beaming on trees.

One of the figures stepped forward revealing his face. Elena recognized him as one of the villagers she met during her village tour. Elena wasn't entirely sure, but she vaguely recalled that he was one of the villagers that were harrassing Scherie and her. It wasn't until the other two revealed themselves that she became certain.

"What're ya doin here at so late at night girl?"

"Maybe she's an imperial spy?" uttered the second man whilst exposing an obvious smirk.

Elena slowly backed away keeping her attention forward.
"N-no... I'm not a spy"

"You sound nervous... we should search her just in case hehe" The third man chuckled.

A hideous laughter, it was gross. There was no other way Elena could put it. In fact, the third man was quite ugly to begin with, so his chuckle was quite fitting. He was a stereotypical thug one could say, however Elena was extremely naive and had never run into any thugs before.

The three men approached and surrounded her. She was trapped, there was nowhere where she could run now. She should have ran when she had the chance.

One of the men came extremely close to her. Elena raised her hand intending to push him away, however someone grabbed her hand. Many thoughts raced through her head.

What's going to happen to me?

What are they going to do?
