I shrug and decide to keep the questions to myself as Jessica showed around the school hallways. We passed around the first floor where she showed me that the halls here were packed of school lockers. “But if we have our own rooms, why do we need lockers?” “Well the dorm rooms are out in the back like way out, if we went that way we would be late for every class.” She responded. “Way out?” I asked. She nodded, “Uh huh, let me show you!” She grabbed my hand and we walked down the hall before reaching a door labeled Exit above it. She pushed through and quickly I saw a beautiful looking park with a nice statue fountain in the center, walkways leading from each door back into the school building into the... other school buildings? I looked around, we were outside but still within the school as the whole building surrounded us. “Is this all part of the school?” I asked nervously. “Yup! Here at the back are the dorm rooms, to left side we have out cafeteria on the bottom floor and the game room is above it, at the right side we have a gym at the first floor and some of the employees only rooms there. We have like, a restroom at every corner so that’s four, and our rooms have our own personal bathroom so no public showers.” She said that last part with a hint of disappointment in her tone. She looked up and caught my wandering eyes staring at the entire structure and smiled. “You like?” I wanted to say no but found myself nodding instead. I still miss my old friends, but maybe not so much with my old school. How my parents managed to move me in here is beyond me.

“So, what’s this park here for?” Jessica and I start walking down to the other end of the building, the dorm rooms. “Hm? Oh it’s just a nice view to relax and a quicker way to get from one place to another. Mostly we just walk by, sometimes during break some students sit by the fountain and talk or play football out at the lawn, or play music and stuff.” She checker her phone for a brief moment. “Oh shit, I need to get back to the office if I want to have time before break. Principal doesn’t like waiting. Here, let’s take you to your dorm room okay?”

I shrug as she carries on summarizing the rest of the guide, merely pointing at the locations rather than approaching them. I would say it was rather lazy of her but she does sound to be in a hurry after all. As soon as we entered the dorm building we approached the desk lady upfront. “Hey Sue! This is Alex, he just got transferred in and will be staying in room 308.” Sue looked up from her computer and smiled, seemingly wearing similar clothing to Stacy with dark hair, dark rimmed glasses and bright skin and blood red lips. “Hello there, glad to have you with us now. Room 308 is on the second floor down the right.”

Jessica turned to face me. “Okay, this is where the tour ends and your new experience begins! Here’s your key, keep it safe and with you at all times and do try getting along with your roommate. You’re going to love it here.” With that she flashed one last smile before leaning forward and kissing me on the cheek, then skipping away back at the door. “She seems to be in quite a hurry.” Sue said while I watched her walk away, swaying her hips left to right. “Cute ass, isn’t it?” Sue asked. I turned around and see her smiling at me. “It’s okay, almost all the new students stare at it since she became our assistant. Can’t say I haven’t wanted to make an appointment with her myself lately.” Unsure of what else to say, I nod and make my way up the stairs to the second floor. “Down the right.” I say to myself, following Sue’s instructions. I drag my bag with me and on the way find a door not entirely closed as I pass by. I look at the slightly open door, then turn back to see where my room is. ‘Would be pretty sneaky’ I think out loud, what to do?
