How to get home?

Vanessa finally escaped the mall, but not before her picture had been taken a good hundred times, not to mention the videos, or just the memories people would have of the moment. She was nearly hysterical with embarrassment, clutching her unruly belly which jiggled as she ran. She entered into the daylight gasping, hair rustled on her avatar. After catching her breath and calming down she considered her situation.

She was a few miles from her house. With her 'relocate' function broken for some reason, she'd have to get there to by foot. Either that or log out, leaving her avatar in the mall parking lot. Then it could be vandalized and would be on public exposure in a parking lot until she next logged in. Anything could happen! She could be stripped and standing there naked like a statue, her face on this horrible body!

No, that wouldn't do. She had to get back to her house. The only safe place to leave her avatar. She considered her options. Very few people had cars, since you could relocate at will, appearing wherever you wanted for about a dollar off your credit card. For the exceptionally poor there was a free bus system. She could see a bus stop across the lot. That was her only option. But that meant she would be on the public bus, wearing this incredibly revealing outfit! What choice did she have though?
