You shake your head no, causing the mamma bear to smile widely before she delves into the facts.

“Well, this weekend is for a special partner type matchup. For lack of a better comparison, think of Pokémon, where two trainers send their pets in to battle. The first pet to make the other cum wins for their trainer. However, the losing trainer and their pet not only get fucked in front of the bar during a bonus round, but depending on the pre agreed stakes the pet, the trainer, or both could belong to the winning trainer for an agreed upon time limit, up to one month.”

You notice what she means as you read the details of the paperwork, as well as the blank fill in spots for both trainer and pet. “Wait,” you frustratingly exclaim, “So I can’t fight alone?”

“No sweety. You would need either someone to fill in as your pet or to claim you as your trainer. There will be many of both tonight, though because of the stakes you will have to convince them you are worthy of whatever position you choose.”

“Um... so how are the stakes chosen?” This is the part that most concerns you, as it would not only determine what you could win, but what you could lose... especially since it sounds like losing could cost you quite a lot. “This isn’t a tournament style. Every pair that signs up will get matched with another pair for the night, with the winning pair getting a guaranteed thousand dollars to split. The losers can still make money off of tips, but it isn’t guaranteed. In addition, there is a standard wager of ownership of each other’s pets for one week, though that can be increased or decreased if both trainers agree, and can even include the trainer as the prize.”

That is mildly disconcerting, but you convince yourself as long as you win it doesn’t matter... right?

You look over the bar, which hasn’t filled much yet. “So, Mistress Kara, what should I be on the lookout for?”

She leans in the bar top, her large breasts resting on the polished wood. “Well aren’t you wise asking for advice. If you are looking for a pet, the key is someone capable of fighting and defending themselves, while also capable of taking direction. You wait at the bar, chatting up Mistress Kara when ever she is free and not either serving drinks or signing in contestants. The bar soon starts to fill, and you look over the crowd. Those signing up in pairs vary, but all were dressed in themed fetish wear.
