You're your own man!

Even though you were with Batman but for a short time, it was as if his influence, his dark and cynical behavior gave you some clarity of mind; you said you didn't want to get involved in anything like this because you didn't want any more trouble. Wonder Woman said this was part of your punishment, but you weren't going to be a part of this. "No. You already controlled me once. I won't let you again." Wonder Woman stopped, glaring intently.

"You will not refuse me. I am Diana, princess of Themyscira. You WILL yield." She flew straight at you to strike, but you ducked to the left of her punch, and you put up your dukes to defend yourself. She floated higher and she was a meteor, coming down so fast and extending her kick. You dodged backwards, pushing off with your hands and feet twice each, then you stood ready.

She charged through the air again, and you dodged to your left, grabbing her arm and slamming her into the wall. Frankly, you just wanted to circle throw her, 'but this works, too,' you thought. She grabs your throat and lifts your **** self up with her. "Yield," she warned.

Her grip felt worse than a python squeezing its victim as you could barely breathe. "N-ne--never," you wheezed. She was gearing to throw you to the floor, hard when a voice filled her ear.

"Diana. We need your assistance."

"I'm busy, J'onn," she replied.

"DIANA," the Martian emphasized. She landed squarely and put you down. You gasped in fresh air, coughing for what seemed like a minute. "We need you now."

She looks at you like a predator after killing its prey. Which she hadn't, thank goodness for you. "I'm on my way." She puts her hand down from answering her communicator and growls, "Hera help you that we don't meet again. Alone..." She walks out and you just sit where you are, gasping each breath in as you try to figure out what the HELL just happened.
