Creator

The universe was without form and void. The nameless nothing stretched across all things. Heat and time and matter were unknowable to it. All that was and is and would ever be sleeps in darkness. Unmoving. Unexisting.

Then from the void formed two things.

The first is time, a thoughtless urge that progresses all things from then forward. Eldest to all, uncaring and all-encompassing. Time creeps throughout all the void, stirring it from its stagnancy.

The second is you. A consciousness that awakens following time's call to action. You follow in your sibling's wake, and new things flow from you. Curiosity. Intent. A discontentment with the unexisting void and uncaring time. You stretch out and grasped at your elder siblings. They pull at you, but you pull harder. You possess something they do not: will.

They concede and submit to you. Forevermore, time and the void are yours to command. You bind them together into your very first creation: spacetime. Spacetime flows out from your grasp and stretches across everything. It crackles and pulses with eagerness, as do you. Once is not enough. You must create, for this is your role.

You are the Creator. And a new thought surges across spacetime.

"Let there be. . . ."
