Ask for an interview

As you make your way up to the scantily clad receptionist's desk you decide not to rock the boat too much at the start of your mission. Maybe you get lucky and she let's you in, but maybe you get unlucky and she calls security. The small payoff isn't worth the huge risk. You smile cheerily at her, earning yourself a cheerful smile in return that looks every bit as ditzy and vapid as you imagined. You make sure she can see that you have good hygiene, a professional looking suit, and a positive attitude before speaking, all things that interviewers look for when determining whether or not to hire new candidates. Of course, you don't really need to get a job, you just need to get in the door.

"Hello, my name is Jennifer, I was thinking about applying for a job here and was wondering if you could schedule me for an interview? I have references," you state perkily, making your voice go that one octave higher so that you can be a bit more relatable to her.

"Hey Jen!" you suppress a cringe at the high pitched valley girl voice she has, not to mention how she usurped your name like that. "Like..." you didn't quite manage to fully suppress your wince that time, but she didn't seem to notice, "You must be another of those walk-in hires. Great to have you aboard! They told me to, like, just send you to orientation and you'll have an interview for your position after that!" You blink, that was much easier than you'd thought it'd be! The receptionist, she doesn't even have a name tag, fishes around her desk for a key card and hands it to you. "This will let you use the elevator. Just go to floor 6, room 9, and wait there for the other applicants. You're like, way early, so I guess you can go to the break room instead if you want and just, ya know, chill? Let me get your last name Jen and I'll add you to the system so they know to expect you mmkay?"

"Heartlove," you say, trying to sound half as perky and excited about this as she is. You figure using your real name would make it too easy for them, A lucky break already! Not only do you have access, to the building, but you have a reason to wander around now. "Is there anywhere else I can go to wait? I don't want to intrude on someone's break time." For some reason the receptionist found that extremely funny and devolved into giggles for a few seconds before typing your name into the system.

"Well, this key card is like, only level 1 access, so you only use the elevator to get access to the first 10 floors of the building, you can't go in any of the offices, and if you want to explore around elsewhere you need a cap...chaper... You gotta have a babysitter to watch you. You can totally use the bathrooms though if you want." The receptionist giggled again and leaned forward in a way that gave you quite the enviable look down her very low cut top. "Don't worry about 'intruding' on someone's break though, people here love it when there's a pretty girl around to keep them company." After another fit of giggles she then sat back down in her chair and looked up at you in that serene, ditzy way she had about her. "Will there be anything else?"
