A familiar voice

(No sex yet. Building atmosphere.)

"You live like this?"

The question causes you to jump and look around. However, you find the room just as empty as when you came in.

"Wh-Who's there?" you call, though you're not sure you want an answer.

However, nothing happens. You can't tell if you're relieved or even more nervous.

You start to doubt whether you heard anything. After all, that voice sounded just like...

You shake your head of the thought. Maybe you just had a really vivid memory. After all, that's basically what she said when you brought her here for the first time. Granted, she was more commenting on how sparse your furniture was and how small the place was. You weren't quite so much of a slob back then. Your cleanliness has really gone down hill recently.

You swallow the lump in your throat and get back up. You decide to take a look around the apartment and see if anyone actually sneaked their way in while you weren't looking. You head into your bedroom. The bed is obviously unmade and there are crumbs here and there, mostly from potato chips. You shrug to yourself and head into the bathroom. It's empty as well, save for the usual toiletries you have in there.

You take one look in your closet when you get back into your bedroom but find that empty as well. You shrug to yourself and head back into the living room.

When you get there, you find a figure standing right in the middle of the room and you jump.
