Stylus experiment

Before drinking, you recalled that your previous two meals today had immediately been followed by a brief period of increased brainpower. However, any discoveries you'd made had been quickly forgotten the moment the effect ended. Maybe there was a way to help remember some of it? "MPAD-24, do you have an interface that supports stylus entry?"

"Stylus interface activated," it announced and shifted into a flat rectangular shape that resembled an old-fashioned writing tablet. Meanwhile, the Grey doctor looked at you quizzically.

"I'm curious to see if I can make use of my heightened neuron response," you explained. Then you wrote at the top of the tablet, 'Experiment 1: Test of stylus input with semen-induced neuron acceleration.' and on lines below you added 'Input: One liter (34 ounces) of semen mixture (Odyssey male crew collection packets). Time: Dinner.' Then you said, "OK, I'm ready to begin," and raised the silver container to your lips.

Immediately, the creamy fluid began to pump into your mouth. This time it tasted even sweeter than the last batch, and it reminded you of a fancy dessert made from the nectar of tropical fruits combined with a sugary glaze or icing that you might find on an expensive cake. It tasted so good that you had no problems whatsoever hungrily gulping it down. You never realized sperm could taste this good! But what was different? Why was each batch tasting better than the last?

Suddenly you began to feel the tell-tale change that accompanied the start-up of your internal energy converter, and everything around you began to slow down. Unlike the prior times, you were ready for it now. As you thought back upon the events of the past few hours, you focused on what you'd seen in the lab including your brief introduction to subspace. Immediately you understood fundamental concepts like void pairing and resonance coupling and how they could be exploited. Using the stylus, you began to write a basic equation showing the energy to volume relationship for the entire harmonic expansion 0 to N. You also realized this only accounted for the first...

<SNAP>

"Ouch!" you cried as you dropped the painfully hot stylus. Looking at MPAD's tablet, it looked like pure gibberish. Worse, the writing surface looked damaged in places, possibly from heat-induced friction caused by the rapid motions of the stylus. Apparently, your writing actions had been so fast that MPAD-24 couldn't even track them correctly. "Woah! Did I write too fast?"

The doctor added, "Not only too fast for the MPAD unit, but almost too fast for this sensor to observe. Based on these readings, my prior analysis was vastly incomplete. The speed-up in your neuron processing due to the byproduct from the matter to energy conversion is actually orders of magnitude greater than I realized. For a brief time, you're mind is actually functioning faster than some of our machines, and your motor skills work faster than their inputs can process."
