Chapter 8 by ARavingLooony ARavingLooony

its a new day and what is Aedan up to?

Preparing to start the new day

A/N: clothing Aedan is wearing is the https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/140/images/4101-5-1397115196.jpg from the https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/4101?tab=images&BH=0 mod (may wind up commisioning a pic of Aedan wearing the armor at some point like the one I did of him in the first chapter)

"A new dawn. A new day" Aedan muttered as he finished adjusting his doublet with the small leather strap across the torso and over his right arm, the finely made outfit that had the sigil of his house; a laurel wreath, resembled two white wings embroidered onto the right side of the finely-made attire that only the wealthiest families such as his could afford to have tailored. There was no mistaking Aedan for anyone other than the youngest heir to Highever when dressed in such an attire which as a result Aedan made sure that if he wished to venture down into Highever from his family's castle which he did on more than a few occasions then he ensured to be wearing clothing more likely to be seen on commoners.

"And yet another attempt by Howe to get me to marry his daughter" he groaned, while his father's old friends daughter was by no means an ugly swamp witch it still meant that if he went through with the marriage then his life as a charming and womanizing young noble would be severely dampened. Marriage; the very word was like a punch to the gut. Even if he did marry the young Delilah Howe and he wound up getting caught cheating by her then Maker knew what ramifications it would have between House Cousland and House Howe?

Aedan sighed, while being born into nobility had its advantages such as no end of coin and access to some of the best man-at-arms that coin could buy it was still overshadowed by the inevitable politics that anyone born into nobility would have to get used to.

The question now was what to do with his time? no doubt Arl Rendon Howe was meeting with his father in the Great Hall. Maybe it would be best to get the talk of marriage with his father's old freind over with sooner? or maybe he should find something to distract himself with in the hopes to delay his chat with Howe in the hopes that Arl Rendon Howe forgets about the marriage proposal and leaves. It was wishful thinking but still it was a possibility.

what to do? how does Aedan greet the new day? find a distraction or suck it up and meet his father and Rendon Howe in the Great Hall?
