It’s Up to Camilla

Somewhere deep down, you suspected something like this to happen; a gut feeling that left a sense of worry in you. But you ignored it, putting faith in Dorothye’s loyalty and commitment not to make things difficult.

You turn to Camilla and tell her, “My love, I leave this decision to you.”

Camilla smiles at her sister and approaches her. “Well if the Almighty made you fertile enough to give birth to three healthy children, then none of us should be greedy. You can keep the girl as your own. You can call little Gwyn your daughter.” Camilla inches closer to Dorothye and brings the baby girls together. “The girls can grow up as sisters like we did, as the sisters they are.” The two new mothers each wraps one arm around the other and tried to embrace each other as possibly as they could.

“Thank you, Camilla.” The two women’s cheeks touch.

As sweet as this is, you know one thing. Lover or not, mother of your child or not, grateful to her or not, you’re going to have Dorothye’s tongue cut out or even killed if she ever proves detrimental to the security of the secret. You hope it never comes to that but if it does, you will do what you must.
