Showered and cooled off, I’m relaxing on the couch when I give Holly a call back as she asked.

She answers almost immediately, “Hey about time you called me!”

“Hey, I was at training and just got back,” I tell her.

“Oh yeah and was this training called Piya or Yui or even Dawn?”

“Very funny. No, it was actual real training. The martial art that I do. And I don’t fuck the teenagers remember!” I say in my defence.

“Yeah well maybe these ones,” Holly says laughing.

“Did you actually want me to ring you for something or are you just going to tease me?”

I hear Holly scream and Jessica telling her to stop being such a dirty bitch in the background before she takes the phone off of her girlfriend and I’m talking to her instead.

I got some news at the managers' meeting the other day and I wanted to run it by you and besides it gives us a chance to hang out, just the four of us.”

“Oh yeah, what was this news?” I’m intrigued.

“Best to hear it in person. So, do you think you two can make it?”

“I’d love to but I have to check with Yui first. She’s got Aor staying with her at the moment.”

“Oh, whys that?”

“Yeah best to tell you in person too,” I hedge my bets by not saying what Aor and the girls are up to at the moment because I don’t even know.

“Ok sure things. Well let me or dick-brain know if you guys are free tomorrow them,” Jess tells me as I hear Holly copy along in the background, “har har dick-brain,” sarcastically.

I hang up on Jessica and take a pretty sure bet with myself that those two are screwing about ten seconds after I’m off the phone.

I give Yui a call next to see if she can make it to dinner tomorrow or not.

“Hey Yu,” I say when she picks up.

“Hey, honey. How are you?” she asks.

“I’m good. I just got off the phone to Holly and Jess and they were wondering if we wanted to have dinner with them tomorrow night? I wasn’t sure with Aor staying with you.”

“Oh, that would be great. Aor has a meeting tomorrow night so I’m all yours,” Yui tells me happily.

I think to myself, maybe not all mine if Holly is up to something.

Responding, I ask, “Awesome! I’ll let them know. So, what is Aor’s meeting about?”

“Oh, just some girl things…”

I realise I’m not likely to get anything more out of Yui than that so give up. I promise to pass on the details to her about what time dinner is, etc, when I hear back. I bid Yui a good night and hang up before making one last phone call to Piya to see how she is.

“Hey, beautiful. How are you?” I ask.

“I’m great thank you handsome. How was the rest of your day?” Piya asks, her caring nature immediately wanting to know how I am.

I tell her about what I got up to after everyone left. She asks a bunch of questions about my class, wanting to know all the details about it and if I’m ok and haven’t been hurt. She truly cares about everything I do and her warmth and love show through. We talk for a long time before she wishes me a good night and to have fun with Yui at Holly and Jessica’s house tomorrow.

“Sleep well and I’ll see you on the weekend if I get all my work done. I love you,” Piya says before we hang up.

“I love you too. Look forward to seeing you. Bye,” I return to my love.

Its late by the time I have finished my calls and RSVP’d to Holly and Jess and let Yui know everything she needs to know in a message. The three girls saying they will set up yet another group chat about tomorrows double date.
