third wish

I thought for a long time. "OK, this is it: I wish people believed whatever I told them!"
"Done!" said the genie as it disappeared in a puff of gold smoke that smelled of incense.
I did not feel any different.
I went outside. The day was unusally warm, and few clouds passed in front of the sun. I walked down the sidewalk towards the local mini-mart.
As I arrived, a man pulled up in a Mercedes convertible. I walked up to him. "Nice car, man," I said.
"Thanks," he said with a slight smile.
"Thanks for letting me borrow it," I said testing.
The man stopped on his way into the store and turned, "Huh?"
"You said I could borrow it for 24 hours."
The man was a bit puzzled and furrowed his brow. "Oh yeah," he said.
"I'll meet you here in 24 hours. Just give me the keys."
The man handed you the keys. He seemed to be confused as to why he was doing this though. "Um, just take good care of it," he said.
"Aren't you forgetting something?" I asked knowing my powers worked now.
"Um, I'm not sure."
"You said you'd give me all the cash on you, so hand it over."
"Oh, right," said the now even more confused man. He handed over $84."
"Thanks, man," I said taking the money and putting it into my pocket. I jumped in his car and started her up.
I pulled out of the parking lot. I wondered where to go now.
