She can't give up her sword! Offer her something else.

"I... I want to pay the toll, but..."

The troll rolls her eyes. She's apparently used to lame excuses.

"I was just robbed by a gang of bandits! Thirty of them!" Hilda lies, too embarrassed to mention the whole truth. "They took my money and my boots," she says pointing to her bare feet for proof.

"That sounds like a big, heaping pile of not my problem," she says as she continues to hold the sword out of reach.

"If you want this back, and you don't have any money, then you have to give me something else, so what's it going to be?"

Hilda starts thinking about what she could give the troll when she notices the monster girl starring intently at her, causing the knight to blush a little.

"That's some nice armor you got there, especially with all those jewels on it."

She looks down at her breastplate. It IS very nice armor and it cost a fortune. Heck just replacing the parts the goblins stole will cost a fortune.

"I'll give you the sword back and let you cross if you give me that armor. Otherwise, I'm keeping this."
