Chapter 10 by MudSlinger MudSlinger

Does she go to the party now or go back for her underwear?

She goes to the party now

Nicole opened her bedroom door and made her way out of her house. She made her way towards her car, unlocked it and hopped inside. Making a mental note to call her parents at some point to let them know she was 'out with friends' for the next few days, she turned the car over and gave one final look at her house.

"Don't wuss on now," she muttered to herself. She felt so exposed and it in part excited her. It scared her too, but it also excited her.

Taking the car out of park, she began the drive over to Jennifer's. It didn't take long to reach the mansion of a girl she didn't particularly care for, but what she saw made her smile. The large two story 'home' was already lively. There were already around two dozen cars lined up in front of the house and she could hear the music blasting already. It helped that Jennifer's nearest neighbor was about a mile and a half down the road, so chances of a noise complaint really weren't going to be an issue. With her smile unwavering, she pulled up and parked her car on the side of the street and grabbed her bag before she made her way towards the house. As she approached, maybe a dozen or so people were out in the front yard listening to music from a speaker by the large front door, each with a red solo cup already laughing and enjoying themselves.

She recognized a majority of them from her year, and some smiled at her while she smiled back. She wasn't 'friends' with the group but they were all on friendly terms. After a quick exchange of pleasantries (and one cat call from a guy she didn't know), she was just about to open the door when Haley did it for her from inside the house.

"THANK YOU FOR COMING!" Haley screamed and hugged Nicole immediately. She wore an emerald slip dress with black eye shadow to help bring out her eyes. In truth, Nicole thought she looked amazing. The dress went hand in hand with her eye color. Nicole noticed she wasn't wearing any shoes but she hugged Haley back tightly.

"Yeah, you owe me. That dress is amazing, by the way," she whispered and looked past Haley to see the foyer. A large staircase lay directly in front of her, marble flooring and a hallway to the left where the music was definitely louder. There were a few people in the foyer chatting amongst themselves too, all of them drinking.

"Let's get you a drink and dancing, yeah? There are seriously like almost one-hundred people here already!" Haley squealed and quickly began tugging Nicole towards the music.

Nicole hesitated a moment. "Wait, where can I put this?" she asked motioning to her bag.

Haley turned around so quickly, snatched the bag from her shoulder and then tossed it in the left corner. A closet door was partially open and a rather large number of bags were already strewn about the floor. "Kay, now that we handled the bag, LET'S GO!" she cried and dragged Nicole through the hall.

Laughing a little but allowing herself to be led, Nicole saw how dark the house became almost instantly. When the reached the end of the hall, it opened into what looked to be a huge dinning room without the table in the center of the room. It was dimly lit and full of people dancing, drinking, laughing and getting a little physical. Music blared and occasionally a strobe light would flash with the EDM playing through speakers that must be lining the room.

Tim Maddox, 5'10'', 162 lbs, somewhat shaggy brown hair approached with two cups in hand. "Hey Haley, here!" he shouted and handed her a cup. He looked to Nicole and smiled a little and held on to the other cup. "Dance?" he asked and motioned to the crowd in the center of the room.

Haley smiled and immediately began to drink the contents. She had a super huge crush on him and Nicole knew it. Everyone knew it. Tim Maddox knew it. "Go, you guys dance," Nicole said with a smile.

Haley spun around to face Nicole so quickly that it surprised her. "Thank you," she whispered and winked as she began to march off with Tim. "Oh, bar is that waaaay. In case you wanted to get your drink on," she said as she was carted away by Tim.

Nicole half laughed again and glanced over to her left, where Haley had motioned.

Well, it's what you came here for. Dance and party.

The dance floor flowed, the music pumped and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so far. Nicole didn't want to drink by herself nor did she want to dance by herself but she might as well start enjoying the party. Who knows, maybe someone would ask her to dance if she waited a moment or two.

Does she go to the bar, go dance or wait?
