Pick up the Pace.

I unlocked the Van smoothly, pulling the sliding door to the side fully with a satisfying clunk of metal. The first thing that I noticed was that the entire thing smelled like excited woman. I glanced aback at Charlotte, who seemed to notice exactly how broad my smile was.

"Smell something you like?" She smirked, taking a very wide stance and putting her hands on her hips as she waited.

"Ok, I'm tempted to do a line here, but I don't think you've seen far enough in the series yet." I replied with a grin, stepping into the van. Yeah, the scent of Kaila was strong now, and as I lifted up the back seat to fumble through the storage it sent another rush of blood to my crotch. I knew that last night the two of them had fucked. Right here. The thought was maddeningly hot, to know that my wife had her tongue buried in the woman I was talking to, and made her come hard. I desperately wished that I could have seen that orgasm up close and personal, as my eyes lighted on a red and yellow hemispherical Gas can which we kept for emergencies, just such as this.

"Aaaaand, It's raining." Charlotte remarked from the sliding door, leaning against the van heavily. "And I didn't bring a jacket."

"It's not too hard yet." I glanced out at the droplets that were starting to fall. Pretty light. "We should still be able to make it to the station if we walk fast." I admit I also kept hoping that my phone would buzz again. However, Helen and Kaila seemed to be staying quiet for the moment.

"Ok, so down the road, and we turn Raaht." Charlotte remarked, bringing her hand to shield her eyes. "If it starts coming down too hard, it'll be a really crappy walk back to the van." Her accent had returned a little. It wasn't much, but it was how I recalled her talking to Helen.

"I do like your accent." I remarked. "Even if it is fake." I slammed the door shut, not bothering to lock it this time. If the rain did come down hard, I wanted to be able to get into the van fast.

"Oh, realleh Dahlin'?" She exaggerated it as we began to walk together. "Honey, at least I don' call you Sugah, or any otha completlah Ridiculous thang that nobody says outside of a romance novel?"

"So we're in a romance novel now?" I smirked.

"Oh right, yeah, sure. A romance novel where the heroine is totally fine with her paramour making her girlfriend come." She laughed at the idea. "And where the main guy totally isn't being a jealous jerk because the heroine is fucking his wife."

"Well, what if Kaila's the Heroine?" I pointed out.

"Oh no, I've read way too many romance novels." Charlotte challenged. "She can't be the heroine. If anything she's the nefarious double dealing jealous wife who plans to ruin the Heroine."

"Wait, How do you figure that?" I laughed. The van was starting to disappear into the distance as I looked back, and I returned my eyes forward to look for the main highway. It shouldn't be too long, I hoped, as I felt a thicker drop of rain impact on my hand.

"Well, if this is a romance novel, then you and I would totally get together." Charlotte smirked, "But then we'd have some cliche, lousy argument, and you'd go back to your wife, breaking my heart, because I secretly loved her and society is keeping us apart."

"Ah! Gotcha! You're OPENLY loving my wife." I pointed out.

"Exactly! Why we're not in a romance novel, and why you and I will never hook up." Charlotte smirked. "So, case closed. And it's raining harder. Can we speed up a little?"

I felt another heavy drop of rain on my face. Nodding I increased my pace, and was happy to see Charlotte match it. Ahead I could hear the occasional sound of an engine, and I figured we didn't have far to go to the Highway. It wasn't too much farther to the gas station, from what I remembered.
