Her room

You knock on Cassie’s door. When she answers, you silently congratulate yourself on your choice. She is Hispanic, with a fairly-small frame, long, black hair, and olive skin.

You introduce yourself and she welcomes you into her room. She is alone.

“I didn’t even realize there were Peer counselors for —“ Cassie hesitates. “My condition,” she finishes, blushing as she does.

“It’s something new,” you tell her. “And you don’t have to be embarrassed about anything — especially with me. I’m here to support you, so you can tell me anything.”

You know that unlike Sarah, Cassie is not taking medication for her condition. Being from a small town probably allowed her better control, simply because of limited options to act out.

“Isn’t it a little weird for them to assign me a guy, under the circumstances?” she asks. “Unless you’re gay, of course.”

You assure her that you do not lean that way.

“It’s ok if you do,” she says, hurriedly. “I’m not judging, or anything. In fact...” she gets a dreamy, far-away look. “I knew this boy who thought he was only into guys. I was able to convince him otherwise.”

She savors the memory for a moment before remembering you. “I’m sorry; I know I’m not supposed to dwell on things like that.”

“It’s ok,” you reassure her. “In fact, it’s actually healthy to confront this directly and not try to avoid it.”

Cassie looks confused. “Are you sure? I’ve always been taught to think about healthy things so I don’t obsess about....” Her words trail off.

“Obsess about sex?” you suggest. “To not think about getting naked with a guy and letting him pleasure you, repeatedly bringing you to mind-numbing orgasm?”

Cassie’s cheeks fill with color, but not from embarassment. She sits on the edge of her bed and brings her knees up to her chest. “It’s so weird hearing you say that — but yes, that’s the kind of thinking I’m supposed to avoid.”

“That’s the old way of dealing with this,” you tell her, leaning against the desk and facing her. “Especially if you are from a small town where it is easier to control your condition through abstinence.”

“I am from a small town,” she says. “And I thought abstinence was the only option.”

“That’s just not realistic, now that you’re in college, is it? I mean, you’re surrounded by a bunch of young, healthy red-blooded guys, sowing their wild oats, hitting on you repeatedly.... Who really expects you to be abstinent?”

Cassie is getting visibly excited. “So what’s the solution?”

“The solution is to focus all your sexual attention on one person. I mean, isn’t it better to be having lots of fulfilling sex with one safe, dependable guy, rather than going on a rampage with dozens of guys you know nothing about?”

She looks doubtful, but does not dismiss the idea outright. “I’m not sure my parents would approve.”

“You’re 18, aren’t you? Why should they know? Do they report their sexual activities to you?”

She shudders at the thought. “I see your point... So what am I supposed to do? Find a boyfriend?”

“No.... That would be counter-productive. You start introducing feelings into this and you’ll be too distracted to do your studies. That’s why they assigned me as your Peer Counselor. I’m safe and mature enough to let you satiate yourself, without any unrealistic expectations about love and long-term commitment. Plus, I’m totally confidential.”

She looks you over slowly and carefully, and you sense a hunger in her eyes. “What are you telling me? That you’re assigned to be my — what would you call it?”

“Fuck buddy,” you offer helpfully. “What do you think?”

Cassie starts breathing heavily, and you can tell she is on the tipping point of kicking you out or jumping in with both feet.
