Going for a swim

During a zombie apocalypse it's good to relax and recharge whenever you get a chance. For Maggie this came in the form of a small lake the group found while traveling. Of course given that this was a zombie apocalypse items such as a bathing suit was not part of the list of necessary items. Not that something like that would stop Maggie as she tested the waters, checked to ensure there were no walkers currently contaminating the lake and did everything she was taught by the group.

Once she was satisfied Maggie felt somewhat daring and began to strip out in the open, a smile appeared on her face as she imagined the look on every man's face if they were watching.

Leaving her clothes neatly folded at the edge of the lake Maggie jumped in, a loud splash echoed across the forest the group was traveling. Suddenly all of the dirt, sweat, muck, and stress her body accumulated over the last few weeks were washed away as Maggie continued to swim from one edge of the lake to another. The sound of her splashing of course did not go unnoticed as a few Walkers began to make their way to the edge of the lake. Maggie, currently floating in the water was far too relax to notice until they were practically on top of her.

It was the groaning sound the Walkers make that snapped her out of her relaxing thoughts as she realized they were heading towards the edge of the lake where her clothes were located.

Quickly Maggie began to swim towards the shore, beating the Walkers as she grabbed her boots and quickly placed them over her wet feet. The smart thing to do would have been to grab her clothes and run but alas Maggie was not thinking straight and paid for it when a Walker was practically an arm's length away and made an attempt to grab her.

Reacting through sheer instinct Maggie stuffed her clothes at the Walker's face and pushed it into the lake, ruining the once splendid location as the Walker fell in with her clothes still in her mouth.

Cursing Maggie saw the Walkers fast approaching and began to flee into the forest wearing nothing more than a pair of boots that were very wet on the inside.
