Make him stay after class

You look at him sternly and say, “We are going to have to talk about this after class. Since you are such an aspiring writer, I want you to sit at that desk in the corner and begin writing what you have learned from this experience. Once I read it, I will decide whether I need to have a conference with your parents.”

Eli looks chastened as he makes his way to the corner amid the snickers of his fellow students. You watch him sulk to the desk with dropped shoulders and you try to keep your eyes from staring at his firm jean-covered ass. He takes out his notebook and begins to write.

The rest of the class passes uneventfully but slowly as you consider your options for Eli. When the last bell has sounded, you can scarcely get the rest of the students out of the room fast enough. Once the last one has departed, leaving you alone with Eli, you close the door and discretely lock it.

Turning your attention to Eli, you almost coo in delight at how adoreable he is, looking so apprehensive. Instead, you sit primly at your desk and say, “Eli, come here and stand in front of me. Bring your work with you.”

Sheepishly,Eli approaches, hands you his notebook, and stands awkwardly in front of you, unsure of what to do with his hands.

You glance at his essay. The pages were filled with things such as, “I was totally out of line,” “I learned my lesson,” and “I was just trying to impress the guys, and I was being stupid.”

You set the notebook on the desk and stare at Eli. He squirms under your attention.

“Eli, I’m very disappointed in you,” you begin.
