To class

The bell ring echoes through the empty halls as Audrey is rushing to get to her class. She opens the doors and steps in, immediately noticing everyone mixed around talking with their desks moved. She walks up to her teacher Mr. Legrand, one of the newest teachers at the school. This being his first year here, and his first year teaching, he is actually a fairly young educator, still in college. He is a slim man, standing just around 6'0 tall with short black hair and similarly colored plastic spectacles. Some refer to Nathan as a "Mini Mr. Legrand", Audrey being one of those people.

She approaches her teacher who is sitting his is chair, leaning back with his feet propped up on his desk while reading some sort of magazine. He looks over towards Audrey, with a smile and turns himself to face her, while putting down the magazine and removing his feet from the desk.

"So what is the excuse today Audrey?" He says still with a friendly smile on.

"I am so sorry Mr. Legrand, I just got caught up after lunch with a bunch of stuff." Audrey says is a sincere apologetic tone with her hands in front of her, one hand grabbing the wrist of the other.

"Well that's fine, the class is doing whatever, it's going to be a study hall for today." Mr. Legrand says waving his hand towards the class who are still just scattered around talking amongst themselves. Very loud, Audrey noted, she could barely hear herself talking to Mr. Legrand who was only a few feet away. Although the classes in the school were rather large consisting of over 30 students at times.

"Thank you it won't happen again." Audrey says politely and moving to the back of the room where she usually sat, next to Nathan and sadly near Jake and the rest of the football team. In all of her classes it seemed to have a solid trend of her sitting next to Nathan and the rest of the football team near the back with her. But that was a result of her being late on the first day when seats were chosen.

When she sits, she gives Nathan a little wave which is then returned by her friend, "I swear, youre late to every class." Nathan laughs.

"Ugh, it's not my fault, I was held back to clean the table." Audrey sihs turning herself to face her friend, "It wasn't even my mess!"

"Sure it wasn't." Nathan chuckles.

"Hey whats up!" Jake barges into the conversation by shuffling himself and his desk over to Audrey and Nathan, so that he is in-between both of their desks. The dragging of his desk resulted in a loud, ear piercing screech which made Audrey and Nathan both cringe. Although the rest of the room seemed unfazed as the chatter was too loud.
