Reveal your knowledge

(Note for readers: My wife cheated on me and we got divorced over it, so this story line is.... difficult...for me to write.)

"So, at what point in "dancing" did you end up leaving your panties in his hotel room?" You keep your voice as controlled as possible, but you can feel heat rising in your face.
Jenna's mouth drops open, and for a moment, she can't form words. Then, she puts on a mask of anger. "Oh my fucking God, James! You're snooping through my phone!?"
No, no, no. You are not going to let her deflect this away from what you discovered. "I think that's a secondary concern right now, wife!" You infuse those last words with some acid. "Do you have an explanation?!"
Your anger washes over her. For a moment, pure **** crosses her face, and it seems like she's going to continue to try and hold the high ground, as laughable as that seems. But then, her face crumbles. Tears flood into her eyes, and sobs rack her chest.
"I....I don't know..." she pauses to wail a little, "I don't know how it happened!" she throws herself face down onto the bed. She's full blown bawling now. Your anger fades a little.
"Jenna." you sit on the bed and lower your voice. You have so many emotions running through you. You had had the texts right there. They told the story, but having her confirm that...something...happened stabs you afresh. But...this is your wife. The love of you life for the last 19 years, with whom you thought you had a strong bond. "Just tell me what happened. Tell me why. Whatever it is, we'll talk it through. I can't promise everything will be okay, but you've got to talk to me."
She turns her face to look in your direction, but she won't meet your eyes. After a few shuddering breaths and hiccups, she croaks out a response. Her eyes are red, and the tears are flowing freely.
"Ok...." she sniffles. "I'll tell you everything."
