Aktheus smiled. "Deal!" Rebecca handed him the arrow, and he looked over it. "This arrow contains the powers of the mages who crafted it. It seems as though their very souls went into this. It should be strong enough to slay any demon, monster or evil mage it strikes."

"Even Arakarin?" Aktheus stared at Sagus in shock.

"....Why do you ask?"

"That's who it's intended for," Rebecca answered. "It was made specifically to kill him."

"Ara....karin? You FOOLS WANT TO FACE ARAKARIN!?"

"No, but we will face him. Someone has to. Besides, he owes us all a debt, and he'll pay it in pain and blood."

"I see. So you all survived his onslaught at some point, have you? Then may I suggest you count yourselves lucky and pray you don't meet him again?"

"You can if you want," said Sophie, the woman in green. "But we're still going to kill him."

"Do whatever you want. Now, I fulfilled my end of the bargain. I think you have something for me." He eyes Rebecca lustfully. She stays calm, and snatches her arrow back.
