A Sacred Chamber

You move past the end of the tunnel to come across a large dome shaped chamber of light blue brick illuminated by a swarm of forgotten mage lights grouping above the center over a large pool of water surrounded by stone carved columns holding up a kind of open ring of solid marble rock.

The chamber is quite big, a 35ft stretch of water flooded floor lays across the area separating the walls from the pool in the middle while the ceiling is somewhat high, at least 60ft from the center. The pool itself is lifted up by about 5 stone steps flowing with a waterfall effect from the overfilling pool and ringed around the edge of the pool. From your distance, you can't see much, but you can make out some kind of statue in the middle of the pool as a light but weak shining purple glow emanates from it. You stand for a moment in aww as Messy walks forward, looking over the ceiling and all along the chamber. "Wow, who do you suppose built all of this? Quite a set up to just leave it here. Maybe it's some kind of alter or holy chamber." Messy isn't licensing, she is still looking around the chamber tell her eyes fall upon the pool in the center. She suddenly sprints off for the pool splashing water and mud behind her as she does. "Hay, where's the fire? Where are you going? Messy!" You run after her trying to understand her reason for the unprovoked dash. She only rockets away faster than you can follow and stops at the steps of the pool. You stop behind her, placing a hand on her shoulder trying to ask her what she was doing. "H-hay, what was that about? You can't just go sprinting through any random place like that." She turns to you but seems to be puzzled at your question as if her means are obvious. She nudges your hand off before walking up the steps and into the pool.

You follow her, even more puzzled at her actions than she is with your question. She sits down in the water as the pool is only 3ft deep with a inner ring acting as a place to sit. She lays her arms down on the sides and lies back in comfort as her body contaminates the pure spring with a growing mist of brown. You get a closer look at the statue and are surprised, even shocked, at who it is off.
