"It Would Have Looked Better With Green Knickers !"

Debbi steeled herself to leave the office. She caught a glimpse of her reflection in the shaded window. Even such an imperfect reflection clearly showed her white knickers beneath the thin green tights. And she was no more comforted by the thought of the rear view of the thong ! Oh well, at least I've got good legs, she allowed herself. Her hopes that she might not be the only one in a revealing costume were dashed when she joined the team in the corridor. That they were a team was obvious, since all members of both sexes wore long black flowing witches or warlock outfits with 'scary' face makeup and pointed hats. The skimpily attired elf stood out like a sore thumb !

"Great outfit Deb" complimented Carol's cohort Sandra. "It would have been better with green knickers though maybe ?" she continued, drawing everyone's attention to Debbi's knickers if they were not already focused on them ! "I didn't know what costume Carol was getting" was Debbi's lame response. "And why's my costume different from everyone else ?" "We thought the boss should stand out from the crowd" answered Carol unconvincingly. "But an elf doesn't lead the witches" Debbi objected. "Details, details" shrugged Carol. "Let's get Jeff to start the contributions to our collection."

Jeff pretended to be alarmed. "Blimey, you lot are frightening. Well, apart from Deb perhaps. Great costume choice though Deb" he said, looking her up and down. "A pity it didn't come with green knickers possibly ?" "I didn't know what costume Carol was getting." They continued their variation on trick or treating through the rest of the IT department and also accounts. Carol made Debbi do their pitch for contributions and she was beginning to feel more and more conspicuous. She was complimented on her pointy shoes and floppy hat but sensed more eyes focused on her knickers. Jeff arranged a group photo for the company magazine with Debbi posed out front.

The gang headed upstairs to the HR department. Debbi approached Karen the HR manager to explain their mission. "I must congratulate you all on the effort you've put into your costumes" said Karen amid laughter from the other girls in her department. "Especially you Debbi. The hat and bootees are divine but what a shame there weren't green knickers to go under those tights !" "I didn't know what costume Carol was getting."

"We've made a great start" said Carol, who along with Sandra was taking care of the collection. "Now we're going round the neighbouring offices and units. I did call them all up and ask if it would be OK." They made their way past Gilbert at the security desk. "What a scary bunch !" he laughed. "Well, apart from the boss. Give us a twirl Debbi." Undecided whether to curse at the lecherous old guard or just ignore him, in the end Debbi complied and turned a quick circle. "Cute little bum" he remarked, continuing "I'm no fashion expert but I think green knickers might look better ?" "I didn't know what costume Carol was getting" repeated an irritated Debbi !
