Chapter 10 by kronos204 kronos204

Does she?

No, but...

"No, honestly, I think I'm perfectly happy with how I look," she says, and she means it. She thinks about how her boyfriend looks at her, and the amount of attention she gets from strangers. She considers her level of self-confidence that she, in her professional opinion, believes to be about right. Her breasts are always something to show off if she wants a little boost, but she doesn't need more.

A look of puzzlement comes over his face. Dr. MacIntyre waits for him to work through his thoughts. Finally, he seems to reach a decision. "I know the problem. You don't know what you want! Everyone wants to be more attractive, right? I'm sure you want to be too."

"We're getting off topic. This isn't about me," she says, combing her fingers through her loose, wavy hair. This tangent is getting uncomfortable. She doesn't consider herself to be a vain person, and she's a little embarrassed how much work she puts into her appearance. How many hours she spends at the gym, or learning new makeup techniques. Not to mention how much money she spends on her wardrobe. Hey, is the little jerk smiling at her? She scowls.

"There we go, now you're being more honest with yourself. And it's a win for me too, since I get someone so pretty to look at. You know, Doc, even though you don't believe me, you're helping me a lot. I think I'll help you out too. Go check it out." He motions toward the long vertical mirror she had put in, claiming it was for self-reflection for her clients.

Sheila almost panics at the idea that he had somehow changed her appearance, despite knowing it's impossible. Still, she can't help running to the mirror.

What does she see?
