Chapter 38 by Defamir

Where to know dear bound master of being kept under wraps. (well that sounds weird)

Story or something very different

So first of all I know the question is fucked up and it should be "now" but alas I am too lazy to change it

So since I forgot about the elven bitch in the last chapter, well last two chapters actually now that I think about it, she will be sort of the main part of this chapter, but not really, well lets see, confused yet? No? fuck. And we might or might not follow her for a bit, or maybe I will kill her in this here chapter already, who knows, who fucking knows, well me of course but we already established just because I know something doesen't mean I do it or rather that I know it, so I don't know what I should know - are you confused now? Still no, ah come on, that was the best I got for ages.

Zyrande looks at the army from her vantage point. She still isn't entirely sure how they got to the small hut so quickly. However as soon as she has seen them charge in she bolted towards the backside of her home, from there she quickly grabbed her stuff and hid feeling scared and somehow, somewhere deep down she knew it to be the best approach. She always was quick. She only got quicker as soon as she realized that she was, at least thats what some of the heroes called it, gained sentience. She hid it from her brother, knowing full well where his allegience on that matter lied. And then the master came to her, freeing her from her golden cage and now they wanted to take him away again. She feared for him. She followed them closely, being thankfull now for the gear she gained living with the wizard for so long, a cloak designed to not be invisible but to be imagined by the mind as nonexistant, so only if you knew where to look and for what to look you would see the elven girl.

Her bow in hand she sticks to the shadows (which is kind of weird seeing as we are in - because of a certain kill - open wasteland, but yeah go figure that I forget some tiny detail) while keeping up with the warparty. Soon enough though the group reaches greener lands again. The area her brother had controlled seemd to be smaller than she expected. Although now that she thought about it, it was always clear to her seeing how weak he was in retrospect.

Soon enough the vegetation grows thicker again. She hears the enemy leader proclaim "Welcome to my realm, shadowcreature." his tone was aggressive and in Zyrandes mind he shouldn't talk like that to her master, not that she could do anything against him at the moment. She was way to weak to be any danger to him - or his men for that matter. "You did the stupidest thing possible, attack a keeper right next to my own dominion. Did you really think that small band your friends attacked was all I had?" She can't hear her masters answers, seeing as he is still talking in minds. Rachel seemd to have heard it because again she starts laughing at her father. After that brief exchange the group starts moving again.

Another two hours later the warparty reaches a not-so-small fortress with a rather sizeable village around it. The keep itself sits on the edge of a cliff reaching at least thirty meters high and a small river flows beneath it. The people in the village stop and stare at the approaching warband. There are even a few heroes in the village at the moment. They all appear to be somewhere around midlevel range. Even they stare too. No one has ever seen a, well, a whatevercreature your master is, ever. So of course they stare, though what Zyrande intrests is that some of them don't look disgusted or scared, but some of them look intrigued and some outright grab for their weapons. None actually attack the host though. Seeing as even more guards come out of the fortress. The two she is most intrested in is a male priest and a very scarcly glad female, whose class she can't really make out. They stand a bit outside the main group of onlookers and are whispering to each other. Zyrande herself sits at the edges of the town inside the crown of a tree fully obscured by the branches and leafes.

The girl looks up into the sky and sees the slowly decending sun. The first thing she notices however is the hatred she feels upon looking at the light. She looks down again quickly and looks at a far more pleasing sight, her master. He, although his wings are broken and his arms are shackeld stands tall and towering in midst of a dozen soldiers surrounding him with their spears pointed at him. She nearly can smell the fear in them. It arouses her a bit seeing her sisters in servitude being tied up even farther. The girls and the widow of her dead brother are each guarded by two soldiers. The whole procession starts moving towards the castle. As she sees them dissapearing between the houses in the direction of said keep Zyrande sighed and fell back into a branch defeated. There was no way she would get them out there, not that it would stop her from trying, but she lost hope the second she lost the sight off her master. With one last defeated sigh she gets down the tree and slides down to the ground on the side of the plant that is faceing away from the village. She starts crying in her hands, she had it all, freed from her brother who kept her down, freed from a life as a lust object for passing heroes, freed from the shakels of the small forest and now she lost it all again with her master, the being who freed her, captured by some wizard. With that she dosen't realize someone is approching her hideout.

Who is there?
