As Soon as Possible

You have plenty of things to do. One of the will absolutely result in a war. War is an unpredictable affair where anything can happen. In the case you died, you have to have an heir. You give your orders, "Duke Renard, send as letters to the nobles of Ostgrenze. Inform them of my upcoming wedding with your daughter. Tell them they are invited. Dietrich, send word to my mother, sister and step-father of my wedding. Then follow with Duchess Eliza. I want them all here as soon as possible!"

Dietrich nods and gets to it. Duke Renard, on the other hands, "Sire, you're bringing the woman bearing your bastard to your wedding! My daughter's wedding!"

You calmly tell him, "Calm yourself, Duke. I have a reason why I am inviting her."

"And what reason is that?" He demands.

"You shall see." You say with a smile. "Don't be concerned about it, Duke Renard. I've told you of mine and Duchess Eliza's relationship. She will not cause trouble and our child will not usurp your grandchild's birthright. But I want to be clear," You walk over to the Duke with a voice so strong, stern and resolute you leave no room for arguments. "I will not tolerate any disrespect shown towards Duchess Eliza. Is that understood?"

Duke Renard looks away. Inwardly you take this as very good news. "Yes, Sire." he answers you. "Good."
