“You forgot what today is didn’t you?” Barbara asked Tim who had a confused look on his face. Suddenly a loud thump sounded on the table. “It’s your birthday Dorkface.” A voice said from beside Tim. Tim turned his head to view where the voice came from. “ Cassandra language!” Barbara Exclaimed. As Tim looked an image of beauty came into his view. Cassandra Kane his adopted sister, they had known each other even before they became family. As children they were best friends and nearly inseparable and only grew closer after her father’s disappearance. Cassandra is Asian-American her mother was Japanese and her father an American soldier stationed in Okinawa, Japan named David Kane. Her mother died in Tokyo during a tsunami and her father returned with her to the states where Tim and Cass first met as neighbors. Truthfully Tim was in love with her but was scared their friendship would have been ruined and only buried his feelings further after her father’s disappearance and her adoption by Barbara.
