A couple of seconds passes, and still nothing happens.

"See?" Amy says. "I knew it wouldn't..."

Just at that moment, she crumbles on the floor, overwelmed by pain. She screams, and begins to slowly change. After close to three minutes, Andy stands up.

"It worked!" Margaux said gleefully.

Andy, shaken, grabs the sink for support. "Yes, but for how long? What will happen if I keep using it?"

Margaux sighs. "There's no way to know. Maybe after the duration of your transformation into a man reaches that of your first transformation into Amy the ring will just stop working, but it's only speculation. For all we know, it could turn you into a frog."

"Well, I really hope it doesn't do that." Andy says, dejected. "So, maybe I'll just turn back into Amy at some point."

He exits the bathroom and starts pacing in the room; you and Margaux follow him and sit on your bed.

"I can't be a girl forever." he says. "What am I going to say to my parents? And how can I keep going to college? What am I going to do?"

"Well, maybe if you never take it off, you'll just stay like this." you interject, trying to comfort him.

"It's worth a try." Margaux says to him. "But you should take measures to be sure Amy can replace you if you become her permanently, just in case."

Andy gets up. "I have to go to class now. I'll see you two in a while."

He leaves the room, leaving you and Margaux alone.

"I feel bad for him." she says. "I wish we could do something."

"Keep investigating the rings." you tell her. "Maybe you'll find something."

Margaux giggles. "Oh, I'm sure the history books are full of references to mysterious magic gender swapping rings."

You sigh. "All right, I see your point. Now, what should we do until Andy gets back?"

Margaux gives you a predatory look. "Oh, I have a few ideas." she says seductively.

"Mmh, has anyone ever told you that you're a very naughty girl?" you joke.

"I am indeed." she says playfully, before pushing you on the bed.
