Don't stop

Jo could be seconds behind you. As much as you'd like to stop and have some fun, you decide that you really just need to get back to your room. When the guy steps into a room, you head to the other stairway. Checking to see that nobody is looking, you open the door and head up the stairs.

When you get to the top, you open the stair door a crack and look out. Your room is right near this exit. Noone is in the hall. You step out, carefully closing the door, so that it doesn't make noise. You listen at your door and hear nothing. Then you hear a giggle from the bathroom. Joan and her beau must be taking a shower together. You slowly turn the knob, which still has the sock on it, and open the door. Sneaking like a thief, you get inside and close the door. The room is indeed empty.
