Talk to Brian

"If I let you go will you behave yourself?" you ask Grace. She gives you a wide eyed nod and stands quietly after you release her, looking at you with wide, anxious eyes.

"Aren't you going to hurt her?" Valerie whines. "She painted that crap on your room, and you punished her for that! I heard you do it! You should punish her for breaking in! Hurt her for it!"

"Shut the fuck up!" Brian snarls, pointing a finger at her.

"Yes Daddy," she says in a subdued voice. "But it's not fair."

You point Grace to a chair, directing her to sit. She complies with a nod, glaring at Valerie as she takes a seat. The brunette glares back with equal hate, and you know that it wouldn't take much to set the two of them off again.

You gesture to Brian and the two of you put your heads together in the archway to the room, out of earshot of the two teens if you whisper but still allowing you to keep an eye on them.

"Any ideas?" you ask.

"Not really," he shrugs. "I don't know how to keep the two of them from killing each other, or trying to, and that will blow the story all over the school. And our jobs."

"Yeah, I know. We can't lock them up and we can't keep them separate forever. Now that they know they'll be looking for each other every chance they get."

"Maybe we could scare them."

"Valerie maybe. I'm not so sure about Grace. She's infatuated, but she's also furious. Not a good combination."

"What if..." whatever he was about to say is interrupted by a howl of rage from Grace as she launches herself out of the chair at Valerie, clawing at her as the two of them grapple on the couch, spitting like bobcats.

"Fuck! Not again!" you snarl as you and Brian run to separate the two berserk teens.
