Nostalgia

Sam stood outside of the small Barbers shop, His Foster parents were by no means lacking in funds to send him and his sisters to the most top class barber in the City, but this place was owned by family friends, Karen, Jack and their daughter Stephanie. Stephanie always did have a thing for him, most of the Girls in school had a thing for him, But unlike the others, Sam enjoyed her company, some time He, Hannah, Eileen and Steph would play Yu-gi-oh together. "My Prince?" asked Apollyon, Sam noticed that he had simply been looking at the shop for a long time now

"I'm fine it's just, do you mind waiting outside?" Apollyon gave him a warm smile

"As you wish My Prince, I shall wait outside, just call me if you need me."

Sam took a couple of steps to the glass door, he took a breath and then pushed it open. The familiar sound of the Bell ringing as the door opened made Sam smile, the Barber floor was empty, even the bright orange little reception desk where you would pay, the little Green bell sat on the counter, and though a little faded, it was exactly the way he remembered it. Sam held his hand atop the Bell, he hesitated to push it but found himself ringing it eventually.

some shuffling steps came forth as a small Dark skinned woman with that Familiar Crazy Curly hair sat down at the desk for a moment, she didn't look up to him, she instead checked the small White pad in front of her "Do you have an appointment, Sir?" Sam smiled, she still had that soft voice that everybody loved

"Um mm No." she took a pen and began writing down in the Pad

"Unscheduled Haircuts are extra I'm afraid Sir..."

Sam looked around "Place is really falling on hard times huh?"

she smirked "Oh you noticed?" she continued to write still not bothering to look up at him

"Are you the actual hairdresser or the Owner?" she rubbed clear frustration out of her eyes

"Both, place used to belong to my Mom and Dad, but they had to retire..."

Sam walked along the Shop looking around, they had the same dusty old Red chairs, "Still haven't gotten rid of these old Diner chairs huh?" she continued to write answering unthoughtfully

"Nope, the chairs are a hundred dollars a piece so...." she seemed to click as Sam turned away from her to fiddle with the hinge of the broken mirror like he always did before

"Wait, How did you-"

"You Know I always did wonder on whether you would become a Vet like you wanted or end up working here, but with Karen and Jack spent, it seems you don't have a much a choice eh Steph?" She stood, getting ready to call 911 because this was information only a Stalker would know,

"Who are you and how do you know me and my family?"

Sam took a Breath and turned smiling at his Childhood Friend, "It's good to see you again Steph"

Steph's Jaw dropped as she dropped her phone, "No way... S-Sam?" Steph stepped forward and reached out to touch his face, Sam grinned Gleefully

"I missed this place" Steph grasped him tightly, embracing him for a good twenty minutes, when she did let go of him Steph looked into his Green-red eyes

"I-Everyone thought you were dead after those Men took you...." Sam pinched himself "Well I feel pretty alive..." Stephanie almost ran over to her phone "I have to tell Hannah and Robin oh and Eileen, they have to kno-"

Sam took her phone, "No, not yet" Steph gave him confused look

"Sam, they have been searching for you for the last Seven years, they need to know your here" Sam gave her back her phone "And they will very soon, just not yet, I need to prepare first"

Steph crossed her arms "Prepare how?" Sam pushed his mane of hair out of his face

"Well getting a haircut for one..." she smiled at him "Well... Okay, take a seat."

Sam and Steph caught up, Steph telling him everything he missed, Eileen was a University student now studying Law, Robin had kept the fortune after Shane died but fell into a depression an rarely left the house, Kim worked as a Nanny and was Engaged to a Surgeon from Vegas, Hannah was working at a fast-food restaurant and had plans to become a Social worker, Jade was unemployed had dropped out of school and was in a Band and Lily simply stayed in the House Sleeping and Playing games, only going to College when she had to.

Sam looked at Steph in the Mirror as she cut his hair "Wow, a lot of things have changed"

she laughed "...some haven't, we all Missed you Sam..." Sam beamed with happiness "You have to go see them Sam, promise me."

Sam sighed "I Promise, I'll go and see them tomorrow just..."

"What?" Sam rested his hand on her left arm, "Will you come with me?" Steph smiled pulling out the Blow drier and getting rid of the excess hair on his shoulders

"Of course I will." Sam looked at his finished haircut.

His hair was shaved on the side with a good length left on top, Steph quickly took some gel and slicked the hair he had on his head back, "Huh, I like it..."

she giggled "Very professional looking don't you think? matches your suit!" they Laughed together as Sam stood up, "Where will I find you?"

"The Romani Penthouse." Steph gave him a strange look "Really? you live in the Romani, Sky Mansion!"

Sam laughed "Not yet, but I will..." Steph continued to look confused "Look just meet me there and ask for me at the Reception, I'll have you brought to me..." Sam Grabbed his suit jacket from the peg, and Gave Steph one final hug,

"Tomorrow then..." Sam nodded leaving as that Familiar chime of the bell sounded on his way out.
