A new girl with a surprising story

The newcomer steps beside Margot and undoes her robe, letting it fall to the floor, revealing herself to be a pretty blonde with a toned dancer's body.

"I beg pardon Mother Minerva. From you and from the Sisterhood. I was waylaid."

"Enlighten us Sister Lyndsey."

"I was performing Mother," she says hesitantly. "And I was recognised. By a teacher here. And he insisted I give him special treatment. For him and his friend. That's why I'm late."

"Which teacher?"

"Mr. Sharp, Mother."

"And this was at that roadhouse you display yourself? Where you cavort to indulge your penchant for exposure?"

"Yes Mother."

"And why was Mr. Sharp there?"

"I do not know Mother."

"And I assume he will demand further special treatment? Now that he has leverage over you? This is very unfortunate Sister Lyndsey."

"Yes Mother. I am sorry Mother."

"You must keep him distracted Sister. You must perform at his demand, even initiate performances. You cannot let him near our Sisterhood. You must do whatever it takes. As Sister Margot has done to guard us from Mr. Carter. You may resume your robe and take your place Sister Lyndsey. Sister Margot, you will continue to distract Mr. Carter. You may engage the services of such other Sisters as needed. Sisters, be so guided. Do you understand?"

"Yes Mother," the girls answer in unison.

"So be it. Sister Margot, resume your robe and take your place." As the girl complies, the red robed figure stands and throws back her hood, revealing the alabaster mask.

"Sister Chanel, step forth and show cause why you should not be cast out," she says in a voice like the portent of doom.
