A Frat House

You take in the surroundings of the house. It's clean and tidy, and you look out the window across the street at your old frat house. It looks exactly like you remembered it, although it's been a while since you were there. You haven't been back since graduation, but you're sure it still smells of beer and weed, like most frat houses. However, the frat house you're in is not like most frat houses. During your time in college, this was known as the nerd house, where guys who were into comics books, the chess club, and other dorky activities hung out. There were never any parties, and even when they were invited, their members were too awkward to carry a conversation with anyone, even if it were a drunk college girl.

"Where are we?" Heidi asks in a high pitch, and you have to shush her to prevent her from creating a scene.

"You'll see," you tell her, looking around for anybody. It's the middle of the day and you suppose many of the guys in the house are at class or campus activities.

"How did we get here? What did you do? Is this magic?"

You ignore her as a bespectacled young man in a sweater vest approaches you 2. He's even holding a thick book in his hand.

"Hello? Who are you? Do you have the wrong place?" he asks.

"Nope. We have the right place. Are you the president?"

"Yes, I'm Lionel."

"Great. Listen Lionel, we're going around to all the houses to make a presentation. Could you gather all the guys currently around? We'll make it quick. I promise it'll be worth your while," you say with a huge grin on your face. The guy looks at Heidi then back at you, and you wonder if he even knows who she is.

"Right now?" he asks.

"Yup. Trust me, you'll want to see this presentation."

Lionel looks skeptical but he shrugs. "Okay. Give me 5 minutes to wrangle up the guys. You can set up in the video room down the hallway," he says, pointing to his right.

After he leaves, Heidi speaks in a hushed voice. "What's going on? What presentation?" she asks.

You activate your mind control ring. "You'll do anything I tell you to do, even though you don't want to, all the while being very much aware of what's going on. Clear?"

"Yes. Wait, no! Why did I say yes?" Heidi says in a panic, confused at what's going on.

"Come on, let's go to the room and wait for them," you say, ignoring her as she follows.
