Fourth meeting

You park back in the underground lot, locking it up before striding quickly toward the main building. One more orientation meeting to go, you tell yourself, then a return match with Chanel and then off to meet Len and make some money. You bound up the stairs and into the library, arriving just as Ms. Naylor begins.

She gives you a quick irritated look as you take a seat, but doesn't break stride in her presentation. You give her an apologetic shrug and look as attentive as possible for the remainder of the meeting. When it's over, you approach her with a rueful smile.

"Sorry for being late. Mason's car wash girls asked for some help and time got away on me. It won't happen again."

"Apology accepted Mr. Sharp. Just don't let it happen in one of your classes." She gives you a somewhat wintry smile, but her irritation seems to have passed as she turns to chat with Dean Hawkfeather. You smile at them both, taking your leave and heading down the stairs, looking forward to another taste of Chanel.
