Chapter 11

Is there a way to escape from being seen?
Vivianne is tiny enough to hide in one of the larger pots.
Viv bounced up, climbed on one of the switched-off stoves and then into the largest pot she could see. She had to leave the hat behind though; to hide properly, she needed to cram herself into the container, with her knees pushing against her chest and her head tilted down. Vivianne thanked the Moon Goddess that she was small enough to fit in; an inch or two more would make things much more complicated.
As soon as she was safely hidden, she could hear the door opening. "Now, that was close!" she though with a mix of relief and anxiety; for the real danger of being seen was only just beginning. There's was talking and laughing, but she needed to stay completely still; even a slightest bit of carelessness could give her out and expose her. She started to regret her decision to enter the kitchen at all.
And even more, when she heard they were taking away her hat! "How did this thing get here?" one of the cooks was wondering. "I think it belongs to the Murderous Hatter down in the hallway. Anyone heading that way? No? Well, I guess I have to bring it to him myself, them."
But the rest of the young men wouldn't go away. The began to work, probably preparing snacks for the guests. They talked and giggled and shouted at each other over the clanking of pans and clinking of cutlery and glasses. There must have been at least a dozen of them!
Vivianne started to feel quite uncomfortable. She needed to get out and stretch her cramping legs; but, of course, she couldn't. In addition to that, the nearby stoves and pots full of hot soups and stews emanated heat and Viv was perspiring. Sweat appeared on her brow and she could feel wetness in her armpits, on her nude breasts and all the way down. She knew she needed to get out - as soon as possible!
Will Vivianne get out of the cauldron?
