A friend in need
A potential safehouse
"Where are we going"? Amy asked. "To Lauren's" Ollie shouted.
Lauren was a good friend of Ollie's, always there when they needed each other. They had known each other since they were little and had lived on the same street for a while before she moved a year after secondary school. Ollie knew her better and longer than Amy had, although she looked up to the beautiful older girl as she grew up, often getting Lauren to help her with make up or do her hair. Ollie often thought what would have happened if she hadn't moved. He still held onto the memory of their first kiss, and the occasional night of passion that they shared.
Ollie shook his head, getting his head out of the clouds. Ollie and Amy ran through narrow alleyways, and dark streets, keen to reach Lauren as soon as possible.
They rounded the final corner onto Lauren's street. "There, its number 46" Ollie exclaimed with a sigh of relief. However, getting closer to the house, he could see something was wrong. The door was slightly ajar, a black van parked outside.
Cautiously, Ollie approached the door, quietly, and gently pushing it open.
