Chapter 20 by Blues32 Blues32

And why did I think this would work?

There's always a chance.

This whole time, Jinx was staring at us with slack jaw. I couldn't blame her. Raven was acting...less than normal. Sighing, I nodded to the eager, dazed Raven. "Yes, Raven. If you help me clean her, Dirty Birdy gets kissy wissies," I said dryly. Jinx let out a sort of snort or snicker at this, but Raven paid it no mind at all. If she had noticed my tone, she wasn't giving any signs there either.

"Yes! Birdy help!" Raven declared, sounding almost proud of herself. She grabbed Jinx's arm, pulling her toward me. "Come, Jinxy! Johnny clean, then give Birdy kisses!"

Glancing at me, Jinx smiled slightly. "I dunno...do I get any kisses out of this?" she asked slyly. I sucked in a breath, hoping against hope that Raven wouldn't fight over it. ...and to be honest, I didn't want Raven to snap out of her current state just yet. There was something both cute and erotic about how lustfully simple minded Raven had become. She wanted me so bad that she was having trouble thinking of anything else. Must be another part of that repression. She was going to be so adorably embarrassed with herself once she snapped out of it.

So saying, I knew I had to nip this in the bud. Before Raven could respond to Jinx's question, I answered for her. "Depends on whether or not you're a good girl," I retorted. Jinx pouted, clearly not happy with the idea of being a "good girl" (at least, not in the sense I was demanding). No surprise there. While she was afraid of my anger and desired my attention, she still had the mischievous side her character was known for. It was as clear as her cat-like pupils that she had a naughty streak a mile wide.

"Okay, okay..." Jinx muttered, deflated slightly. I guess she could tell I was really exasperated with them. She tugged her arm away from Raven. "I can walk myself, 'Dirty Birdy'." Despite her bravado, once Jinx got closer, she began to hesitate slightly. Her posture became less confident. For all her bluster, she was a bit nervous. Not exactly shy...she was making no effort to cover up, but she was having trouble meeting my gaze, her eyes going to the floor.

Unable to help myself, I ruffled her damp pink hair. "Oh, don't act like that," I chastised. "If you're a good girl, I'm not going to get mad." She nodded, giving me a nervous smile. I admit, I was a little confused at this point. There was more to this than her just being afraid of upsetting me again. So what was the deal?

I soon found out. Jinx, as it turns out, wasn't like Raven, who gasped and cooed under my touch. No, Jinx was much more...vocal.

Any more surprises...?
