Forever Opposites

"Yes!/No!"

I should have expected this. I was starting to get the idea. These two would always be struggling to get along, like stubborn siblings...that were also about six years old. Arguing, teasing...but at the same time, doing their best to please me. Not exactly what I expected...

"Jinx, jeez! He was clearly talking down to us, not making an offer!" Raven chided, rolling her eyes. Her exasperated voice did nothing to hide the blush on her face. "We fucked up. Again." The demoness sighed and shook her head, clearly disappointed in herself.

Her pale skinned companion, however, didn't seem so chastised. "It's called 'nothing ventured, nothing gained', Rae," Jinx replied, waving a finger. "I mean, what if he DID mean it and we refused?" Raven's face went an even brighter red. Nodding, Jinx turned back to me. "So...?"

She grinned. Raven had a look of hopefulness, clouded by a lot of doubt. I sighed. While I had no doubt that it would be a helluva good time, I wasn't sure they deserved it. The mess couldn't be dismissed, after all. What to do...?
