"Hi Alexis!"

Eddie Michaels suddenly snapped back into reality. He stared at his monitor where a blinking popup was indicating that Alexis has replied his “hi.” A smile sneaked on Eddie’s face. He then thought about his maturity and how it played a huge part of this so-called relationship. It was Eddie’s maturity, or lack of it rather that played an integral part in the deterioration of their premature relationship and the war that followed soon after. Eddie hated thinking about himself back when he was immature. He hated it most because when he thought back, it was so embarrassing.

Granted, Eddie may have grown and showed his maturity when he tried to court Alexis the second time, but he was still not mature enough. Alexis knew that. Thinking back, Eddie now knows that. One thing for sure though, he’s at his maturity peak and after what he went through with Natalie, he knows that he’d grown substantially and at the best position to rekindle what’s lost with Alexis, a time to make amends. That brought a small smile on Eddie’s face.

Eddie Ezra Michaels took a deep breath, popped his neck and cracked his knuckles as he prepared himself to chat with Alexis. After all that went through with Natalie, he felt as though his life was pitch black, but Alexis’s arrival was like a small light, a glimmer of hope at the end of the proverbial tunnel of his black, black life and Eddie is eager to cling on it and hopefully, hopefully, bring a real smile back on Eddie’s face. Here’s the first step into what Eddie hope to be a new light for his life…
