Artwork taped to your door

Taped to your door you see a folded paper right over the brass plate that you had installed just that afternoon.

The sheet is not standard printer paper, but a heavier weight sheet that looks like it might come out of an artist's sketchbook. Your suspicion is confirmed when you open the flap and see two cartoonish sketches filling the sheet.

The images on the paper are stereotypical caricatures of an Indian complete with warpaint, feather and tomahawk. In the first cartoon the crook-nosed brave is menacing a foursome of young girls dressed in pink blouses and plaid skirts. The four girls are clinging together in fear as the warrior with bulging muscles and wild eyes stands before them. The second picture is even more disturbing than the first. One of the schoolgirls, a blue-eyed blonde is hanging from a post and the same brave has torn open her blouse exposing the perky pink-tipped breasts of the terrified schoolgirl.

In spite of the distasteful subject of the two sketches, the quality of the cartoons is pretty good, certainly better than anything you could draw. You are no expert, but the cartoons are inked with neat lines that convey the necessary image with remarkable efficiency. The color tinting is also carefully done with particular attention to the shading in the warrior's muscular arms and legs and the half naked schoolgirl's breasts.

The delicate artistry of the cartoons contrasts with the caption crudely scratched with a black sharpie under the sketches.
