Going to the meeting

Checking the time you realise that you'll have to hurry. You stride quickly towards the main building and trot up the stairs to the library. You feel some relief to see that many students and a few teachers are still filtering in, so at least if you're late you're not alone.

Entering the large room you see that many students are already seated, chattering with each other as they wait for the meeting to begin. You notice the slender redhead that lifted her skirt at breakfast sitting with some girls including the two of those that recruited Mason as their car wash sponsor. The girl that was pointed out to you as the troubled and troublesome Valerie Cummins is sitting with the same plump blonde she was with at breakfast. In another group you see the lovely French student Gabrielle preening, and you notice that the eyes of many students flicker over you as you enter the room.

You see Mason sitting with Donna Considine, Honey Thibodeaux and somewhat to your surprise, the uptight Miss Swanson who looks like she'd rather be anywhere else.

Brian Watts stands chatting with the three younger teachers; Monica and Christina smiling effusively while Alice Wilder the librarian stands by diffidently. Dean Hawkfeather is standing with Ms. Naylor, their heads together in conference, their eyes flickering to the students and back again.

You take a seat beside the stern older teacher you remember as Mrs. Somersby-Walker from last nights meeting. She gives you a nod that while curt, is not unfriendly as the last few students and teachers enter the library and Ms. Naylor taps her knuckles on a table for attention.
