* The Next Morning... *

You awaken in your bed of furs back in the 'palace'. You feel something dry and itchy painted all over your skin and someone is chanting from your left side. You try to sit up but immediately feel dizzy and disoriented, so you lie back down.

You **** open your eyes and look around you, seeing your advisors looking at you with concern.

"How long?" You croak, throat dry and scratchy, to which Teoxihuitl replies, "Only 8 hours Leader, I'm so glad you're alright!"

"You thought I wouldn't be?" you quip with a half-hearted grin.

"Do you need water, lord?" Necahual asks, holding forth a wooden cup. You nod weakly so she helps you sit up and you drink sparingly.

As you quench your thirst you realize something, you can't remember most of the data from your previous life anymore... You vaguely recall being in a world that was known as Earth and following up on some sort of ad, but that's all, you can't recall anything clearly from before the beginning of this adventure. This includes the tech-tree from CivII and other such data...

"What's on the agenda today ladies?" You ask as the water revives you, and they get back into the swing of things.

"Well, there is the incident with the two young people you asked to appear before you today, and because of that, we have booked a docket of cases in which you are to sit in judgment," Ichtaca says, and you groan.

"Ugh, I'm not sure I'm up to that, don't we have someone else to do that?" You ask, but everyone shakes their head.

"You are the only one who can. Your word is law, no one would trust the rulings of another because you could overturn them with a word," Ichtaca explains.

"We're going to have to DO something about that once the researchers finish developing Writing," You mutter, but call for breakfast to be brought to you and the others.

Breakfast today is some sort of cooked cactus greens, made spicy with peppers, and cups of mud thick cocoa; also spiced with chili powder.

Fortified by the food and a big cup of cold water you finally have the strength to rise from your bed and head out into the throne room. Your legs are still shaky but you put on a brave face and take your seat on the Lord's rock to pronounce judgment on the cases brought before you...
