Sondra seems to grow more comfortable as her friend speaks, obviously relieved that she is taking all the blame on herself. Emily continues to look embarrassed, and flushes deeper at the oblique mention of what she was **** to do. Tricia folds her arms over her breasts, watching Valerie with careful eyes.

When Valerie finishes Sondra hesitates a moment then steps forward and hugs her.

"I forgive you Val," she says in a consoling voice. "I'm glad you apologised and I forgive you." Valerie hugs her back and makes quiet little sobbing noises. Tricia purses her lips as she watches, her eyes seeming to grow darker. Emily murmurs something about forgiveness that is nearly inaudible.

When Sondra and Valerie separate, the brunette wipes some tears off her cheeks, looking relieved and grateful, obviously thinking the ordeal is over.

"Is that it?" Tricia asks with a touch of outrage. "Is that all?"
