Tell her about your night

I feel a little uneasy that they were already calling her a groupie and she liked it so much. I don't want to make a scene and upset her though, so I just attempt to change the subject. "I've had a pretty boring night at home without you here." I say with a uneasy chuckle.

I start hearing some whispering in the background on the other end of the phone for a little bit, I'm unsure if I should say anything when suddenly Jane is back. "I'm sorry I left you alone all night sweetie. I'll tell you what I'm not going to say anything and you just tell me every little bit of what you did tonight while I was out having fun with Jason and the band."

Feeling a little relieved hearing that I begin to relaying the boring events of your night while Jane, true to her word, doesn't say anything just makes noises back to me, they do sound odd like she's got something in her mouth, a few times she even started making noises in the middle of my sentence. "Well that's pretty much all I did tonight and I decided to call and check on you."

You wrap up all you can think to say after a few seconds you hear what almost sounds like a pop, then, "Aww are you sure that's all you did?" She sounded really disappointed. Maybe all that public speaking practice I've been doing for work is starting to pay off?
