Do you try to find a way to look in the window? Or go back to watching the doors?
You remember something
As Ms. Naylor steps back out of sight you look around for a way to get up high enough to look in the window with noisily clambering up the stone wall. You see nothing that would help and you consider returning to your original position to await further developments, but something tells you that there is something of value to you right here.
You're about to give up when you remember the kitchen footstool in your cottage. It would give you almost another two feet in height, more than enough to peer in the window. If you ran it would take no more than five minutes to retrieve it and return.
